So when I was little, about in 1st or 2nd grade, we used to have spelling words that we would have to memorize every week. My mom would tell me the word, and I would have to write it out on a paper or say it out loud. Every time I got one wrong, she would tell me I failed. So until about 7th/8th grade I realized that getting one wrong wasn't failing. And the sad part is that IS true. Lols. Do you guys have anything ridiculously stupid your desi parents made you believe?

Oh my god my brother is in second grade and he got like three wrong on his spelling test and this was the first time he got so many wrong. my mom spent like the whole afternoon yelling at him and then he was grounded. poor guy
