If my instincts are right, then more than one of the desi girls reading this site agree that they have been in the friend zone with a desi guy they like. Sadly, I'm no exception. I never understood the feeling until it was me going through it! The reason my posts haven't been that interesting the past week is because my social interactions have been limited to study dates with friends (guys included) and running into ex-friends (desi of course, to add to the drama). Ah, if only flirting was more interesting than flirting. I have midterms this week, including an Organic Chem midterm on Saturday following a Biochem midterm on Friday! That's after physics lecture and lab and behavioral psych. But you guys knew that, I ranted about that before!
Being an Indian college student living off campus pretty much defines my state of cheapness. So I went to a law club meeting simply because they were offering free pizza, and during an icebreaker at the meeting (a requirement, if you wanted to get to the free food), I met....a Persian British dude. Ahhhh heaven. The only thing that could have made him better was if he had a English accent, which sadly enough he didn't. But then my amino acid flashcards were beckoning, and I couldn't leave them unattended. I've been listening to the Hindi version of Ride It, by Jay Sean, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=giy1bfPuZD0&feature=related who apparently, was 2 years into med school before he dropped out to become a "pop star" as he called it. The video about him telling his parents is floating around there somewhere on Youtube. Granted, there is no juicy story of disowning or anything!
